The Society conducts monthly meetings for its members, with presentations on various interesting topics of echocardiology.
Letter from the President
Welcome to Chicago Echo Society.
The Chicago Echo Society has a yearly schedule of informative and exciting meetings at many of the major medical institutions in the city and suburbs. Meetings typically begin with a light dinner at 6:30 p.m., followed by a lecture on a topic of interest and then interesting case presentations. Those from outside the hosting institution are encouraged to bring their unusual cases so all can benefit. Presentations often stimulate an active discussion regarding the underlying pathology and clinical management.
Whether you are a sonographer, cardiology fellow, or attending cardiologist who desires to sharpen echo skills, consider coming to our meetings and joining the Society. Members will receive a certificate validating their membership for the year.
We are expanding our services by adding an online image library with incredible cases that includes clinical discussion and questions. We are planning to provide education credit for sonographer members who utilize in the image library through the SDMS. Each image library case will be worth 0.5 hour CME.
Sonographer members of the CSE receive 1.0 units of credit per meeting toward their continuing educational requirement. By attending several meetings and using the online image library sonographers will be able to obtain much of their SDMS educational requirement.
